Dr. Michael Estermeier
Dipl.-Chem. Dr. Michael Estermeier studied chemistry at Ludwig Maximilians University Munich. During his subsequent Ph.D. thesis in the field of organic chemistry at Ludwig Maximilians University Munich, he worked on the structure elucidation and total synthesis of marine heterocyclic compounds and received a doctor's degree in 2004.
Dr. Estermeier has been working in the field of intellectual property since 2005 and primarily focusses on the fields of general organic and inorganic chemistry (including polymer chemistry), pharmaceutical chemistry, cosmetic chemistry, technical chemistry and materials science.
Dr. Estermeier qualified as a German patent attorney in 2008, and as a European patent attorney in 2010. His legal expertise particularly comprises conduction of examination, opposition and appeal proceedings before the German Patent and Trademark Office and the European Patent Office, and the elaboration of validity opinions and freedom-to-operate analyses.
