Dr. Denise Schach

Denise Schach studied physics at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz where she eventually received her doctoral degree in natural sciences. She completed her dissertation at the Austrian Institute of Technology in Vienna and worked on her diploma thesis at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research, where she later became a postdoc-follow. She was supported by a DFG research scholarship to complete a two-year postdoc research term at the James Franck Institute der University of Chicago. Denise Schach studied redox reactions in proteins of the respiratory chain and folding processes in functional peptides. She also focused on the development of optical methods and applied multiple optical spectroscopies, particularly in the field of nonlinear optics and short-term spectroscopy combined with electrochemistry and multiple interface-specific methods.

Dr. Schach has been working in the field of intellectual property since 2015, was admitted to practice as a German Patent Attorney in 2019 and joined the team at ter Meer Steinmeister & Partner in 2021.
